In addition to his law degree, Akiva holds an MBA from Duke University and is the author of a book about Electronic Discovery in New York State and Federal litigation. His focus is on helping clients with divorce, custody, maintenance, child support, paternity, domestic violence and equitable distribution matters. From 1991-2002 he was a member of the Nassau County Assessment Review Commission processing real property tax protests and gained experience appraising residential and commercial property. In 2012 Mr. Gross was selected to speak on issues relating to children as witnesses in custody and neglect/abuse litigation as a panelist in the Annual Conference of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts - New York Division.

Amy Sklar has practiced with several well-respected law firms and independently on Long Island. She has over 30 years of legal experience focusing on Matrimonial and Family Law. She also has provided her clients with her expertise in Real Estate Law, both in connection with a pending divorce matter or otherwise. Ms. Sklar has successfully negotiated pre-nuptial, post-nuptial and separation agreements as well as stipulations of settlement. Her practice includes litigation in the Family Court, Supreme Court and Appellate Courts of New York. She has tried numerous divorce and annulment cases, custody hearings, domestic violence hearings, support hearings, and related issues both pre- and post-judgment.
