About Jak
Jak Marquez
Mr. Marquez is a graduate of California State University, Chico (Class of 1992), with a Major in History. He received his law degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law (Class of 1996) and is an active member of the State Bar of California (admitted December, 1996). Upon admission to the State Bar of California, Mr. Marquez worked for the Law Firm of Thomas G. best as a civil litigation associate for several years. In December of 1998, Mr. Marquez joined Wiegel & Fried, LLP as a civil litigation associate, where he became immersed in landlord-tenant law, general real estate litigation and the intricacies of the San Francisco residential rent control ordinance. Mr. Marquez joined MacDonald Beckman, LLP in August of 2001 as a senior associate, concentrating on real estate litigation in general and landlord-tenant matters in particular. In april of 2003 Mr. Marquez joined Richard Beckman and formed BECKMAN MARQUEZ LLP. During the 2000-2001 school year, he taught real property law at Oakland College of Law. Mr. Marquez is the father of two young sons.
