Prior to attending law school, Jim spent 8 years in the medical field working for Smith, Kline Beecham (now GlaxoSmithKline), one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world.  Jim gained invaluable experience working with injured persons as well as their doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals. Jim lives on the South Shore with his wife Mary and their four sons.

Attorney Merrigan is a Western Massachusetts native who lives on the South Shore of Boston. He enjoys the diversity of exchanging between the firms Boston, West Springfield, and Greenfield offices. Attorney Merrigan currently represents many individuals across the Commonwealth focusing on personal injury litigation for people who have been injured in motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, dog bites, nursing home injuries, and other personal injury related matters. Before practicing law, Attorney Merrigan spent 8 years in the medical field working for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. Attorney Merrigan has experience in working with injured persons as well as their doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals.
