About James
Jamie Priest is from the small town of Liberty in Amite County, Mississippi. He began his legal career representing large corporations and insurance companies. In 2000, Jamie joined his current partners at their former firm where their practice focused on representing people who had been injured by dangerous products and the carelessness of others. Jamie and his partners formed Gill, Ladner & Priest, PLLC in 2005, and their focus has remained on representing individual clients who have been harmed by others.
Jamie and his partners understand that many of their clients are facing the most trying circumstances of their lives – physical pain and disability, the death of loved ones, or possible financial ruin. Clients look to their lawyers not only to win their cases but also to help them return their lives to as close to normal as possible. One of the most rewarding aspects of Jamie's practice has been the opportunity to develop friendships while helping clients through difficult times.
Jamie has extensive experience in litigation involving complex legal and medical issues. Among other types of cases, his current cases involve industrial accidents, medical injuries, insurance disputes, and employment discrimination. In addition to his normal practice, Jamie also represents clients pro bono in consumer protection and civil rights matters.
Jamie and his wife (a criminal defense lawyer) live in Jackson with their son.
