About Jason
Jason M. Markley is an Associate Attorney with The Murphy Law Group, P.C. and is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. He is a member of the Peoria County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. Mr. Markley is a graduate of DePaul University College of Law and he received his undergraduate Bachelor's Degree from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, summa cum laude. While in law school, Mr. Markley focused his elective studies in the area of matrimonial law. Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Markley worked for a prominent domestic relations firm in Chicago before returning to his native Central Illinois to practice law.
Mr. Markley has worked on a wide variety of cases with complex family law issues, including premarital agreements, paternity actions, dissolution of marriage actions, child support and child custody, business valuations, post-decree work, maintenance, emotional and physical abuse, domestic violence, vocational evaluations, and dissipation. Mr. Markley believes that the needs of the client are paramount and works tirelessly to accomplish their goals. His skills as a personable negotiator consistently make positive impressions both inside and outside of the courtroom. Mr. Markley limits his practice exclusively to divorce, child custody, and other family law related issues.
When Mr. Markley is not working for clients, he spends his time contributing to the community. He belongs to several neighborhood associations and participates in charity work for the City of Peoria and the Peoria Animal Welfare Shelter. An avid outdoorsman and fitness enthusiast, Mr. Markley also enjoys spending time running, camping and hiking
