About Jeffrey
While at Hastings, Mr. Ogorek served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Hastings Business Law Journal. During his tenure as Editor-in-Chief, the Journal was cited by the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Ogorek also participated in the Hastings Civil Clinic where he represented low income tenants before the San Francisco Rent Board, was a research assistant for criminal law developments, and interned at the Oakland City Attorneys' Office, where he completed research projects and drafted motions on a wide range of municipal law issues.
Mr. Ogorek was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2012 and has successfully handled numerous lender litigation cases, including the landmark decision of Segura v. Wells Fargo Bank, N.A., the first successful application of negligence principals against a lender in federal court in California for acts and omissions in residential mortgage servicing. Mr. Ogorek is also licensed to practice law before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Central, and Southern Districts of California.
Mr. Ogorek has further represented both individuals and business entities in a wide range of estate planning, probate, real estate, and business transactions and litigation matters from the earliest stages of case planning through judgment enforcement.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Ogorek received his Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature magma cum laude from the University of California, Irvine and minored in Philosophy. While attending UC Irvine, Mr. Ogorek studies abroad at Cambridge University, was elected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa, and participated in the Humanities Honors Program.
