He is a Certified Fellow of the American Academy Matrimonial Lawyers, and a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation. Mr. Bain is admitted to practice in state courts and before the U.S. Supreme Court. He received Bachelors of Business Administration from The University of Texas and his law degree from The University of Texas School of Law. Mr. Bain is active in the community and serves on the Texas State Bar Association Family Law Exam Commission.

He makes regular court appearances in Longview, Gregg County; Palestine, Anderson County; Rusk, Cherokee County; Henderson, Rusk County; Quitman, Wood County; Athens, Henderson County; and Canton, Van Zandt County. He also takes cases in Rains County, Hopkins County, Franklin County, Camp County, Upshur County, Panola County, Angelina County, Houston County, and Freestone County.
