About Jessica
Attorney Gray handles a wide variety of cases, including wrongful death, catastrophic injuries, motor vehicle collisions, premises liability, construction injuries, products liability, medical malpractice, and more. She has felt at home in the courtroom long before joining Sweeney Merrigan Law. Prior to being a litigator, she had already gained a wealth of litigation experience through several personal injury clerkships, both on the plaintiffs-side and defense. In addition to these clerkships, she also spent considerable time advocating in the courtroom through a litigation-based clinic where she represented clients charged with felonies and misdemeanors in the Boston Municipal Court.
Attorney Gray is an active member in a variety of local and national organizations that focus on protecting the rights of her injured clients and in preserving the civil justice system. She serves as co-chair of the New Lawyers Division of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys and is also active with the Injury Board, a membership organization comprised of leading trial attorneys throughout the United States and the United Kingdom. Attorney Gray is also devoted to continuing her legal education and consistently furthers her legal studies by participating in the American Association for Justice, a national community of trial lawyers seeking to promote justice and fairness for their injured clients by safeguarding victims’ rights and strengthening the civil justice system.
Attorney Gray, who grew up in Carver, Massachusetts, attended Suffolk Law School where she was recognized with two oral argument awards by the faculty. She was also the Note Editor for the Journal of High Technology Law. Her undergraduate degree is from Wheaton College where she majored in Sociology. Her thesis, which studied the relationship between race and capital punishment, was voted by the faculty as the most outstanding in the Department. Attorney Gray grew up an avid horseback rider and dancer. She was also a highly recruited athlete who was awarded All-State Honors in soccer for three consecutive years in High School and also competed all 4 years on Wheaton’s Women’s Varsity Soccer team (ranked top 25 nationally; 4 appearances in the NCAA Tournament). Attorney Gray has a thirst for adventure and loves any opportunity to travel. To date, her favorite place she has traveled to is Africa.
