Jessica Olsheski has practiced law for nearly a decade. She and her team recognize that the key to handling any case is effective interpersonal communication with clients as well as jurors. Settlements and trials are a means to an end and we know that often clients require more than just financial awards to recover from their injuries or losses.
Jessica offers a free phone consultation to determine how to proceed. After this phone consultation, the first in-person consultation is $80.
Free initial phone consultation, $80 in-person consultation.

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I successfully resolved a contentious employment matter on behalf of two medical professionals who were terminated after filing discrimination complaints.
How did you build a successful practice?
Building relationships with other lawyers is key. As a solo practitioner, I rely on a network of other lawyers for referrals and support. Therefore, if I can't help someone with a case, I usually have a lot of other resources that are helpful to prospective clients.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
The personal relationship between the attorney and the client is incredibly important. I like to have at least several sit down meetings with clients over the course of a case. Doing everything by phone and email is easier, but it's important to have a personal connection as well.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Understanding local customs and practices is very important, as is building respectful, collegial relationships with opposing counsel, even if we oftentimes disagree on the facts or the law of case.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
I like to meet with people in person, but I can sometimes get enough of an understanding of the basic facts over the phone to at least determine if an in-person consultation is warranted.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
For employment cases, it is important that prospective clients have a basic timeline prepared, for example, date of hire, date of termination, dates of medical leave and so on. For personal injury cases, it is imperative that we have the date of the collision or injury and a basic understanding of the medical treatment involved.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
This community has many outstanding lawyers. I take pride in practicing in the Columbus area and working hard to tackle even the most difficult cases.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
I get a great deal of satisfaction from obtaining results that bring closure to difficult situations in my clients' lives.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
I am a busy mom of three very active children, ages 3, 6 and 7, and I am an avid reader.
Are you involved in your community?
I live in Bexley, and I love my neighborhood! My current community involvement includes assisting in efforts to build a new playground in central Bexley.
