Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
By making sure an Orangeburg County client received all of the treatment she needed, leveraging the insurance carrier\'s own mistake against them, and doing in depth research about the at fault driver, I was able to settle her case for $11.7 million.
How did you build a successful practice?
Referrals. Having past clients send me new clients is the highest honor. I am certain my focus on making sure clients feel good about the process is why I get repeat and referred clients frequently.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Look for a lawyer that takes the responsibility of handling your legal matter with the utmost care seriously. A lawyer should be willing to explain what is happening in your case, what they want to do for you, and why in a way that you understand. Find someone that wants to be your teammate instead of owner of the team.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Understanding the area and its people is crucial to ensuring that the value of every is maximized.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
During a free phone consultation I can make sure you know whether your claims process is proceeding normally or not. I will also let you know if my services will add value to your claim or not.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
I need to know the date of the accident, the county it occurred in, and your injuries and treatment. Once you have signed the contract, I will need a copy of the accident report, your driver\'s license, your health insurance card and any photos that you have of your vehicle.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
As a new mom, I can empathize with the mental, emotional and logistical toll that an accident can have on a family. I understand that how my client\'s feel about the process is just as important as maximizing their recovery and have spent years developing processes to make sure my clients know I care and are always informed.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
It is so rewarding to see how my knowledge can relieve the burden of someone\'s stress due to an accident injury. I often can hear the tension in a client\'s voice ease up by the end of our very first phone call because they are relieved to know a seasoned and caring attorney is taking their case seriously.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
kayaking, baking, college football and caring for my son and dogs
