About Joel
Joel Sommers is a member of Maslon's Estate Planning Group, and practices in the areas of estate planning, probate and trust administration. He works with individuals and families to plan the disposition of their assets, both during lifetime and at death, to accomplish the optimal estate, gift and income tax planning through wills, trusts and other instruments. Joel also represents clients in Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation matters, helping to design and implement retirement plans, welfare plans and compensation arrangements that maximize tax and non-tax benefits for business owners, executives and companies. Joel was a cum laude graduate of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, with a certificate in Alternative Disputes Resolution and was a recipient of the Minnesota Justice Foundation Public Service Program award.
