About John

John W. Chapman, Jr.  is a member of our Trial Practice and Dispute Resolution Group. Mr. Chapman is board certified as a specialist in business litigation by the Florida Bar and practices primarily in the areas of construction, commercial, probate and ad valorem tax litigation. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University in 1985 and his Juris Doctor Degree from Stetson University College of Law in 1989.

Mr. Chapman is admitted to practice in all Florida state courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern Middle and the Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit. He is the author of "Probate Nonclaim Statutes and the Tulsa Decision: Requiring Actual Notice to Reasonable Ascertainable Creditors" (Stetson Law Review 1988), for which he received Stetson's highest award for an article on a United States Supreme Court decision. Mr. Chapman was a member of the Stetson Moot Court Board and a member of the Editorial Board of the Stetson Law Review.

He is a member of the Business Litigation Section of the Florida Bar, and a member of the Judge John M. Scheb American Inn of Court where he holds the designation of Master.
