About Joni
Joni C. Thadani is a resident of Lawrence, Kansas, and a partner at the Law Office of Johnson & Thadani, LLC. Joni hails from Hillsboro, Kansas, where her father owned his own law office for over 30 years. At Joni's suggestion her father moved to Lawrence to open a law office with his daughter, where later her husband, Karan M. Thadani, also joined them as partner.
Joni graduated from Bethel College in North Newton, Kansas, in 2001 with a BA in Social Sciences. After college she worked for the Kansas Department of Revenue as a tax compliance agent. In the 2002-2003 school year she began work on her Masters in Criminal Justice at the University of Missouri - Kansas City, when she decided instead of finishing her masters to go to law school. Joni attended Washburn University School of Law, following in her father's footsteps, and graduated with honors in 2006.
Joni is a member of the Kansas Bar Association, the Douglas County Bar Association, and the Douglas County Criminal Defense Bar. Her primary area of practice is family law, although she also enjoys helping the community by serving on the Douglas County criminal appointment list. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their cat Oscar and dog Mojito.
