About Jordan

Jordan received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Knox College in 1953. He received his Juris Doctor from Harvard University in 1958.  Jordan maintans an active legal practice.  He is licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court in both the Central District and Northern District of Illinois and United States Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit.

After graduating from law school and serving as an Infantry Lieutenant in the Army, Jordan started his practice in Peoria. Jordan was a co-founder of the Peoria law firm of Goldsworthy & Fifield, now dissolved. He joined the Firm as Of Counsel in 1998. He has successfully represented a variety of clients in trial and appellate practice, including insurance companies, insureds, banks and various public entities. In addition, he has broad experience in trust and probate work and enjoys working with family members planning their estate plans.

Jordan is a member of the Peoria County, Illinois State, and American Bar Associations; he is a past President of the Peoria County Bar Association (1988 to 1989) and has been chairman of various bar specialty committees. He is also a member of the Illinois Defense Counsel, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the Peoria Area Estate Planning Council.

Jordan and, his wife, Nancy, have resided for 43 years in Peoria and have raised three children here. He has been active in community affairs in the Peoria area and on the board of directors of various civic groups.
