He has substantial experience in individual life, health and disability litigation, class action defense, bad faith, commercial litigation, products liability, Ohio workers compensation, and FELA claims. Reported cases: Semco, Inc. v. Amcast, Inc., 52 F.3d 108, 34 U.S.P.Q.2d 1635 (6th Cir. 1995); Herman v. Cattron, Northstar BHP & Relco Locomotives, 227 F.Supp.2d 774 (N.D. Ohio 2002); Whitt v.ERB Lumber, 156 Ohio App.3d 518 (2004). He is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth and Sixth Circuits, all state and federal courts of Ohio and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. He is a 1982 graduate of Washington & Jefferson College, attended The American University in Washington, D.C. and received his juris doctor from Capital University Law School in 1985. Joe is a member of the Trucking Industry Defense Association ("TIDA"), Columbus Bar Association, and National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel.
