Cases
The Texas Supreme Court ruled in our favor in the case of Gonski v. Lenoir after oral argument and remanded the case to the trial court for further proceedings. In this case, an unsupervised second year medical resident gave Shana Lenoir an injection to prevent pre-term labor that was contraindicated, medically unnecessary and experimental because she was 8 months pregnant with twins. The injection caused an allergic reaction that killed Shana and her unborn twins. The resident, Leah Anne Gonski, tried to claim governmental immunity which the Court denied.
