About Judith

A trial lawyer and former assistant prosecuting attorney for over 20 years, Judith A. Baxter's practice emphasizes criminal law, family law, wills, and general civil litigation throughout West Michigan.

Ms. Baxter is a member of the American Bar Association and the Criminal Law, General Practice, and Family Law Sections of the State Bar of Michigan. She has served on the State Bar of Michigan's Character and Fitness Committee and the Criminal Jury Instruction Committee and is a Life Fellow of the Michigan State Bar Foundation. Ms. Baxter is also a former member of the Grand Rapids Bar Association. Ms. Baxter has served on several of the Grand Rapids Bar Association's committees including the Diversity Committee, the Gender Bias Committee, the Practice and Procedure Committee, and the Caseflow Management Committee.

During her 20 years as an assistant prosecuting attorney, she participated in training western Michigan law enforcement agencies in various subjects including drug asset seizures and forfeitures. Ms. Baxter has been a guest lecturer at Grand Valley State University on juvenile delinquency and neglect issues and in the Ferris State University Criminal Justice program on criminal law and criminal trial practice.
