About Julie
Julie Nemecek, an Associate with Slowik and Robinson, practices primarily in the area of immigration law. She is experienced in family-based immigration and employment immigration, including specialty workers, multinational executives and treaty traders/investors, and removal proceedings.
Ms. Nemecek is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and is able to counsel Chinese-speaking clients. A graduate of The Ohio State Moritz College of Law, Ms. Nemecek also holds Bachelors in International Business from The Ohio State University. In 1997, during her undergraduate study, she was awarded the Huntington Fellowship and Bartell’s Scholarship, which enabled her to study at the National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, Taiwan.
Before joining Slowik & Robinson, Ms. Nemecek worked as a Summer Associate for a Big-4 accounting firm, with offices in approximately 150 countries. She focused on state and local taxation and has worked with Japanese clients in the area of business incentives. Ms. Nemecek also has managerial experience, which she gained working for a global logistics company before attending law school.
Ms. Nemecek is admitted to practice law in the State of Ohio and is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association.
