Adoption cases are always a beautiful experience. It is one of the rare, positive experiences that Judges and Lawyers see in Family Court. I have had the privilege of uniting families through the adoption process. Most recently, I had a step-parent adoption case, where my client was recently married and her husband had cared for her two children as his own throughout their relationship. The children already thought of their mother's husband as their father and sadly did not have any meaningful relationship with the biological father. It was such a joy to reaffirm this family's love for each other and "make it official" through the family court process. It was an honor to help this family and the memory will stay with me throughout my legal career.
