About Kathryn
Kathryn Tidwell has been Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization for over 15 years. Her practice has included a wide range of family law issues - from divorce to adoption, termination to child support. She has served as a volunteer Master and Associate Judge for the Family Courts in Dallas County and is a trained mediator.
Kathryn practices family law with a passion. She is keenly aware that each family law case is as much about the family as it is about the law. Each case involves a wide spectrum of emotions in response to the issues, goals, and controversies encountered. The emotional factor and the individual family dynamics play a major role in determining how to best proceed with the legal process and options presented. Because of these non-legal influences which can influence the client's perspective and individual needs, Kathryn believes it is all the more important to carefully inform the client of all of the legal options, processes and goals so that the client may make clear and well-informed decisions.
