About Kendrick

Kendrick J. Guidry, born October 25, 1968, obtained a B.A. degree from McNeese State University in 1990. He is a Distinguished Military Graduate. After graduating, he was commissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Army Signal Corps. He returned to Lake Charles in 1992 to serve in several executive positions for the Calcasieu Association for Retarded Citizens until 1997.

Kendrick obtained his J.D. degree from LSU Law School in 2000. In law school, he served as Chapter Justice for Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity/White Chapter. After graduation, Kendrick was employed as an Assistant District Attorney for the Calcasieu Parish District Attorney’s office. He prosecuted misdemeanor, felony, and Domestic Violence cases from 2000-2006. From 2002-2006, he also served as an adjunct professor at McNeese State University teaching criminal and labor law.

Kendrick joined the firm in 2006. He is a member of the Louisiana State and Southwest Louisiana Bar Associations; Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel; and the Defense Research Institute. He presently serves, by appointment from the Louisiana Supreme Court, on the Board of Legal Specialization. He also serves as a Hearing Committee Member of the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board. He previously served on the Executive Committee and has held several offices of the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association (President - 2008). He is admitted to practice in all state and federal district and appellate courts of Louisiana, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
