About Kenneth
Kenneth H. Podpeskar
Mr. Podpeskarconcentrates his practice on compliance monitoring and counseling, Superfundcleanups, property transfers, and solid and hazardous waste issues. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Podpeskar worked as an engineerfor eight years at the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, where he wassupervisor of the Solid Waste Permits Unit.
Asan attorney, Mr. Podpeskar has represented clients in solid and hazardouswaste permit and enforcement negotiations with county, state and federalregulators. He has conducted facility compliance audits and coordinated theestablishment of corporate compliance programs for a number of clients. Mr. Podpeskar also has worked extensively with corporations andfinancial institutions on properly addressing environmental issues arising incorporate or property acquisitions or sales.
Mr.Podpeskar has prepared clients for and has coordinated responses to multimediainspections by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Mr. Podpeskar has negotiated with EPA and has developed approacheswith state and local agencies on innovative methods regarding waste, tank andcleanup requirements under EPA's Project XL Program.
Inaddition, Mr. Podpeskar was actively involved in creating and executing thePrinting Industry of Minnesota Partnership Agreement with the MinnesotaPollution Control Agency. He was an adjunct professor of environmental law at William MitchellCollege of Law and co-authored an article entitled EnvironmentalConsiderations in a Railroad Land Purchase in the TransportationPractitioners Journal.
Mr. Podpeskarreceived his Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, in 1990 from WilliamMitchell College of Law, where he was executive editor of the WilliamMitchell Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree, with distinction, from theUniversity of Minnesota in 1980.
Mr. Podpeskaris a member of the American Bar Association; Minnesota State Bar Association;and Hennepin County Bar Association, Environmental Law Section.
