About Kimberly
Kimberly L. Campbell, is an Associate Attorney with the law firm, Knight & Mozingo, PLLC in Ridgeland, MS, where she works in corporate defense litigation. She is also an adjunct professor at Belhaven College. Coming from a strong family, community, and religious background, she is passionate about people and their wellbeing. She firmly believes that the future of our state depends primarily upon healthy families and communities built upon a foundation of proper health care, good education, and economic empowerment. For these reasons, she was victoriously elected to serve in the Mississippi House of Representatives, District 72.
As a freshman member, Representative Campbell, has been assigned as the Vice-Chairwoman of Local & Private Legislation and is the Sub-Committee Chairwoman over Domestic Affairs in the Judiciary B Committee and is a Sub-Committee Chairwoman under Universities & Colleges. Although this isn't an unprecedented action, it is quite infrequent for a freshman member to serve in those capacities. Additionally, she serves as a member on the following Committees: Education, Municipalities & Conservation & Water Resources.
She is married to Representative Kelvin Buck. She is also the daughter of Coach Leon and Ruth Campbell, both of whom are longtime educators and citizens in the Jackson community. She has one brother and a sister; L. Cord Campbell, and Sheva D. Batton Ford. Her pride and joy is her daughter, 6-year old Ardath Sage.
Kimberly is a product of the Jackson Public School District, graduating from Callaway High School with honors in 1990. She received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from Mississippi State University, a Master of Arts Degree in Organizational Communications from Auburn University, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi School of Law.
