About Laura
Laura H. Baysinger, Esq., received her J.D. from the University of Tulsa in 1993 and is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and the United States District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma. She attended undergraduate school at Oklahoma State University where she received bachelor degrees in political science and psychology. Upon graduation from law school, she was in private practice with a large law firm before becoming executive director of Friends of Early Education, Inc. (Friends). Friends is a nonprofit 501@(3) early childhood teacher training organization that holds approximately 20-30 trainings per year as well as an annual conference with over 3,000 attendees. In addition, Friends operates a children's bookstore giving her small business experience.
Ms. Baysinger served as a governor-appointed commissioner on the klahoma Commission for Children and Youth (OCCY), the state commission charged with overseeing all state services for Oklahoma's children. She gained exceptional knowledge of the services available to children and families, as well as legislative extensively for various organizations including the Laura Dester Children's Shelter and Domestic Violence Intervention Services.
The Baysinger Law Firm, Resolution Resources, PLLC was formed in 2003 where Ms. Baysinger currently practices family law and mediation in the Tulsa area. She is trained in Collaborative Family Law and is a member of the Oklahoma Association of Collaborative Lawyers and the International Association of Collaborative Professionals. She is also a trained mediator receiving training through the Mediation Institute and the American Bar Association's Dispute Resolution Conference and has participated in training and serves as a Guardian ad Litem.
Ms. Baysinger is a member of the American Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association and Tulsa County Bar Association (Alternative Dispute Resolution and Family Law Sections). She qualifies for the Tulsa county District Court list of approved Civil and Divorce/Family Mediators and Guardians ad Litem. She is also a member of the Oklahoma Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators and serves as a volunteer for Tulsa Lawyers for Children.
