LAURA LINDNER is a shareholder and member of the Board of Directors of Lindner & Marsack, S.C. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was in private practice for twelve years in Chicago, Illinois, first with the law firm of Ross & Hardies (now McGuireWoods), and then with Seyfarth Shaw, where she became an equity partner. Immediately before joining Lindner & Marsack, Ms. Lindner was Senior Counsel at SBC Communications Inc. (now AT&T Inc.), where she handled employment and benefits litigation for SBC's Midwest Region.
Since graduating from law school in 1993, Ms. Lindner has practiced exclusively in the area of labor and employment law. Her practice has been focused primarily on the defense of employers in employment and benefits litigation in federal and state courts throughout the Midwest and in other regions of the United States, including claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, claims under the FMLA, FLSA, and ERISA, and state tort and breach of contract and non-compete agreement claims. In addition, Ms. Lindner has defended employers before federal, state, and municipal administrative agencies, as well as in labor arbitration proceedings. Applying her extensive litigation and jury trial experience - which includes class action and EEOC pattern and practice suits - Ms. Lindner counsels employers on a wide variety of employment matters, including litigation and class action avoidance strategies, conducting investigations of harassment and other employee misconduct, and accommodation and leave of absence issues.
