Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

I have a father who had a lengthy criminal past due to drug addiction. He got sober and got his life together but the mother of his child took their child elsewhere and denied any communication with his child. We worked hard together and he now has his son close to half the year! Unfortunately, this will likely be an ongoing fight due to the other parent constantly withholding parenting time, but we work through each battle as they come, giving the father more and more time with his son. It is great to see someone who struggled with the law in their younger years, sober up and fight so hard for his child to be sure his son has the best possible childhood!

How did you build a successful practice?

I work hard and stay ethical.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

Honestly, availability, and the willingness to listen.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

It can be slightly important, but leaning on the law and researching your assigned judge's past rulings will get the same results.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

During a free consultation, I listen to your needs, your struggles, and your desired outcome. I am able to give you a few legal goals we would have based on the information you provide and I am able to quote your legal fees.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

I need your story and preferably an email to sent some follow-up information over. Once we have a signed agreement with each other, we will do an intake meeting either on the phone, on video, or in person.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

The willingness to take the extra time to listen to you and work towards your goals.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Taking some of the stress off my client when they are able to hand their case over to me and feel some relief is the most rewarding at the beginning of every case. The relief on my client's face when the case is over is the most rewarding at the end of the case.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

Photography, drawing, crocheting, knitting, kayaking, fishing, reading, I am full of interest!

Are you involved in your community?

As much as I can be. One of my favorite things to do in my community is answer legal questions at pro-bono legal clinics for clients who need help but can't afford it.
