About Leslie

Ms. Holland has successfully represented clients in a wide range of labor and employment matters at the trial, administrative and appellate levels. Her practice includes representing clients in retaliation cases and in employment discrimination cases based on gender (including sexual harassment), age, disability, race, and national origin; representing clients in whistleblower retaliation cases; representing employees of governmental agencies in unfair labor practice petitions, grievances, arbitrations and disciplinary appeals; representing employees in Family and Medical Leave Act and wage and hour cases; and assisting clients in negotiating severance and non-compete agreements.

Additionally, Ms. Holland represents clients in Americans with Disabilities Act public accommodations cases.

Ms. Holland has lectured on topics that include sexual harassment, race discrimination and the employment rights of teachers for organizations such as the Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the NAACP, and the Florida Education Association. As an adjunct faculty member at Barry University School of Social Work, Ms. Holland taught a master's level social policy course.

Ms. Holland is a past executive board member for the National Bar Association, Women Lawyer's Division, Dade County Chapter (currently known as the Gwen S. Cherry Black Women Lawyers Association), a past member of the Judicial Sensitivity and Diversity Training Committee, Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Miami-Dade County, and she has served on other local community boards. As a volunteer justice teacher for the Florida Supreme Court’s Justice Teaching Program, Ms. Holland currently works with public school students to promote an understanding of Florida's justice system and laws and our constitutional and court system and, within these contexts, to develop critical thinking abilities and problem solving skills.
