About Linda
Linda L. Wilson concentrates the majority of her practice on the defense of employers in workers' compensation matters. So far in her career, she has handled several hundred workers' compensation matters, of which she has taken over 100 cases to trial.
Linda has represented large organizations, such as vehicle manufacturers and state government, as well as small companies with only a few employees, and everything in between.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Delaware. She also attended Widener University School of Law, where she participated in the Intensive Trial Advocacy Program, was a member of Phi Delta Phi honor society, and graduated in 1993.
After completing law school, Linda joined the Delaware Department of Justice, serving as a Deputy Attorney General in both the Civil and Criminal Divisions. As a Deputy Attorney General, she prosecuted wage, prevailing wage, child labor, child support, discrimination, domestic violence, and various administrative professional license matters. She also advised various state administrative bodies, including the Industrial Accident Board, the Equal Employment Relations Board, the Human Relations Commission, and the Board of Occupational Therapists.
Linda left the Department of Justice to become a Workers' Compensation Hearing Officer (WCHO) with the Delaware Department of Labor. As a WCHO, she sat with the Industrial Accident Board of the State of Delaware, advising its members on workers' compensation law, and writing the Board's decisions. Upon stipulation of the parties, Linda, as a WCHO, would sit in place of the Board.
Linda brings that experience to Marshall, Dennehey, Warner, Coleman & Goggin, as she practices primarily before the Industrial Accident Board, defending employers in workers' compensation matters.
She volunteers at her children's school and is a Board member of her Civic Association.
