Joseph R. Kemp, a lifelong resident of Alabama, is a graduate of The Cumberland School of Law at Samford University (1992) and the University of Alabama (1989). Joe began practicing law in 1992. In 1996, he formed the law office of Joseph R. Kemp, P.C. in Pell City, Alabama. He relocated his office to Leeds in 2015, and in March 2019 he was pleased to join the firm of Hill, Gossett, Kemp, Barrentine & Seay, P.C. Joe has held leadership positions in prominent legal organizations, having served on the board of trustees for a committee in the Alabama State Bar and as president of the St. Clair County Bar Association. In addition, he was appointed to the Alabama Council on Developmental Disabilities in Governor Bob Riley’s Administration. Joe has been an active member of the Rotary Club and the Chamber of Commerce. He and his family are members of Oak Mountain Presbyterian Church. Joseph Kemp is married to Skyla C. Kemp.
