About Margo
Margo is a member of Maslon's Litigation Group and focuses her practice on insurance coverage and counseling, where she represents policyholders with claims against insurance companies. Her experience includes handling coverage actions on behalf of insureds relating to defense obligations, coverage under all types of property and liability policies, including missing policies, and business interruption losses arising from major catastrophic events such as the terrorist attacks of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. Her coverage counseling experience includes preparing, reviewing and settling claims, policy analysis, risk review, negotiating and drafting policy language, and reviewing and drafting commercial contracts. In addition to her insurance practice, Margo represents clients in a broad range of commercial disputes, including ERISA, licensing, breach of contract/UCC, product liability, shareholder and partnership litigation. On a pro bono basis, Margo practices Indian law, particularly representing tribes seeking to attain federal recognition. Prior to becoming a lawyer, she was a free-lance journalist for Newsweek International, The Nation, and The New York Observer, among other publications, and was a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Marrakech, Morocco.
