About Matthew
Matthew earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Information Systems in 2003 from the University of Kansas, School of Business, where he graduated in the top 15% of his class. In 2007, he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Kansas, School of Law, where he was a staff member and Note & Comment Editor for the Kansas Law Review.
Matthew has enjoyed a diverse legal career working in many different areas of the law. For example, during law school, he worked for the Honorable Judge Sebelius as a law clerk. He also worked in the areas of bankruptcy law and general practice. In his last year of law school, Matthew worked as a legal intern at the Douglas County Legal Aid Society where he worked on divorce, juvenile and municipal court cases.
Today, Matthew devotes 85% of his time to representing employees in suits for unpaid wages and overtime. He has a strong desire to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and are properly compensated for their time spent away from their families.
