About Michael
Mr. Zdancewicz has been balancing zealous advocacy and client objectives with the economics of civil litigation for twenty years at a multi-member law firm and as a sole practitioner.
Mr. Zdancewicz has appeared in Justice, Superior, State Court of Appeals, Bankruptcy and Federal District Courts in Arizona. Throughout his career, Mr. Zdancewicz represented seriously injured individuals in personal injury matters. Mr. Zdancewicz represents individuals and businesses damaged in business transactions. Mr. Zdancewicz counsels individuals and businesses on how to best structure or restructure, if need be, and protect themselves and their businesses from legal challenges.
Early in his career, Mr. Zdancewicz gained significant knowledge representing federal agencies in all aspects of closed-bank litigation. Mr. Zdancewicz has considerable experience with the enforcement of debt instruments; foreclosure and receivership of real property. Mr. Zdancewicz has represented creditors, debtors and trustees in proceedings under Chapter 11 and Chapter 7, and receivers appointed in Federal Court to collect judgments arising out of securities litigation.
Mr. Zdancewicz has represented contractors and suppliers in all aspects of construction litigation. Mr. Zdancewicz has successfully asserted bond claims against sureties and pursued lien foreclosure litigation on behalf of suppliers and contractors.
Mr. Zdancewicz was born and raised in Northeastern Pennsylvania and lived in Alaska and Washington State before relocating to Arizona in 1988. Mr. Zdancewicz began his University education at the Pennsylvania State University, Wilkes-Barre, and obtained his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Mr. Zdancewicz obtained his Juris Doctorate, Cum Laude, from Gonzaga University, School of Law in Spokane Washington. Mr. Zdancewicz began his legal career serving as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Melvyn Shelley, Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One.
He has earned an AV Peer Rating, the highest, from the Martindale-Hubbell legal directory, which is defined as: "Very high to preeminent legal ability and very high ethical standards as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar." Mr. Zdancewicz attended the Arizona College of Trial Advocacy (1992) and was a speaker for Lorman Seminars, Advanced Collection Techniques (November 2004); Collection Practices in Arizona (November 2005).
