About Michael

Michael G. Naville, who attended Hanover College and graduated with departmental honors in political science from Indiana University in 1973, received his doctor of jurisprudence degree from the University of Louisville School of Law in 1976. At that time he joined his father, Herbert F. Naville, in his law practice, which in 1987 merged to become Lorch & Naville. A member of the bars admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Indiana and U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, Mr. Naville is also the U.S. Magistrate Judge for that district. In addition to memberships and leadership positions in the Indiana State and Floyd County Bar Associations, the New Albany native is a past member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and Southern Indiana Estate Planning Council. He is a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. He also is a master of the Sherman Minton American Inns of Court and a Fellow of the Indiana Bar Association. Mr. Naville was listed in Who's Who in Business and Professional People in the United States and is a long-standing community leader. In both 1998 and 1999 he was voted "Best Attorney" in The Tribune's community poll. He was president of the board of directors of St. Elizabeth's Regional Maternity Center from 1989 to 1995 and is a member of the board of directors at Our Lady of Providence High School in Clarksville, as well as on the board of trustees of the Indiana University Southeast Alumni Association.
