<STRONG>MICHAEL P. UPSHAW </STRONG>(Of Counsel to the Firm) was admitted to practice law in the State of Arizona and the United States District Court for the District of Arizona in 1983.  He has also been admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme Court.  Since that time Mr. Upshaw has been in private practice representing various clients in construction law, Federal Indian Law and civil litigation matters.  Mr. Upshaw was the Attorney General for the Navajo Nation for approximately two years overseeing a staff of more than twenty attorneys engaged in providing governmental legal services and was personally responsible for leading the Navajo Nation team in renegotiating two major coal leases.
