About Michelle
Michelle Carter joined Arthur, Chapman, Kettering, Smetak & Pikala, P.A. in the spring of 2009 as an associate practicing in the Insurance Coverage Practice Group. Michelle has become an experienced practitioner in the insurance coverage area, counseling insurers throughout the country on a variety of coverages, including directors and officers coverage, commercial general liability policies, professional liability policies, commercial automobile policies, and bad faith claims. Michelle has litigated numerous coverage issues in both state and federal courts. Her litigation experience includes such areas as property, environmental, bad faith, and a multitude of other third-party liability claims, as well as claims on fidelity and financial institution bonds.
Prior to joining Arthur Chapman, Michelle practiced for four years at Meagher & Geer, PLLP, where she focused her practice on insurance coverage law.
