About Min
Mr. Min Hwan AHN is an associate attorney of Law Offices of Tahir Mella, P.C. He was born in Seoul, South Korea and graduated from Kyung Hee University School of Law in 2003. While in the school, he served as the president of the student association in international law and went to England as a cultural exchange student. From 1999 to 2001, he served a military service as a legal assistant, managing complex zoning codes, compliances, and regulations of Gwang-Ju city in Korea.
Upon graduation in 2003, he began his career at Dae Won International, Inc., one of the most reputable international trade companies in Seoul. At Dae Won International Inc., he worked as a legal associate in the legal department, participating in numerous international negotiations and contracts between the United States and South Korea. While working there, Mr. AHN realized the necessity of studying the U.S legal systems and continued his masters of laws degree (LL.M) at Temple University School of Law in 2004. After receiving a master's degree in 2005, he began his U.S career as a legal assistant at Neil A. Weinrib & Associates, an immigration law specialized firm in Manhattan, NYC. He was assigned to the H-1B and J-1 team and handled business immigration cases for major corporations, such as HSBC Bank & Securities.
In 2006, he returned to Philadelphia and worked for the Law Offices of Joshua I. Chung. With extensive research on immigration, corporate and commercial transaction laws and regulations, and numerous transactional experiences for more than two years, he had successfully handled many E-2 investment cases and corporate investment projects for Korean-based companies that wanted to invest in the U.S market such as Osstem, Inc, a top dental implant device manufacturing company in Korea. Before joining to the firm, he worked at the Law Offices of Douglas J. Waltman in Philadelphia.
Mr. AHN was admitted to the New York Bar in 2009. His hobby is to make new friends and to visit new restaurants. Born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, Mr. AHN is a native speaker of Korean language and currently learning Japanese.
