John Landwehr joined CVDL in 1984 after serving as an Assistant Attorney General under John D. Ashcroft for three years. He practices in the areas of estate planning, business formation, personal injury, real estate and commercial litigation. He also represents professionals in licensing matters. He enjoys solving problems so that his clients can be successful. Johnโ€™s โ€œhobbyโ€ is local politics. After serving seven years on the City Council in Jefferson City, John was elected Mayor in 2003 and re-elected in 2007 for a second term that ended in April 2011. He has stayed active with local issues by serving as President of Catholic Charities of Central and Northern Missouri, and the Diocesan Planned Giving Committee. John received his B.A. (1974) and M.A. (1975) in Philosophy from Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and his law degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1981.
