About Mitchel
A recent addition to the team, Mitchel Brim joined Carlin & Buchsbaum in April 2007. Mitch brings an impressive track record to the firm, gaining extensive civil litigation experience working for a large civil defense firm and a plaintiffs personal injury firm. This background helps Mitch to more effectively represent plaintiffs in wrongful termination cases, including claims of disability discrimination, racial discrimination, age discrimination, gender discrimination and sexual harassment.
Mitch was admitted to the California State Bar in 2005. While in law school, Mitch published an article which analyzed and criticized the United States Supreme Court's interpretation of whether it was constitutional to execute a seventeen year old. Further, Mitch proposed a standard for the Court to adopt based on precedent which would enable executions to be administered in a rational and consistent manner based on one's moral culpability. A few years later, on behalf of Justice For All Alliance, Mitch authored an amicus brief to the United States Supreme Court urging it to adopt his proposed standard which would enable victims and their families to feel a sense of dignity and justice.
Mitch graduated from Southwestern University School of Law in 2002. He completed his undergraduate work at Pitzer College, one of the Claremont Colleges, and majored in Organizational Studies. Mitch is a native Southern Californian, born and raised in the area.
