Eric started Jones Law Group in 2007 right after he graduated from law school. He has extensive legal experience with Social Security Disability and the healthcare industry. Eric also served as Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney for 12 consecutive years. Prior to attending law school Eric served as Vice President ofr an Ohio hospital where he was responsible for physician contracting, recruitment and relations. During law school Eric was the Assistant Chief of the Bureau of Managed Care for O.D.J.F.S. where his responsibilities included designing, implementing, and regulating the statewide expansion of Medicaid Managed Care. Eric also served as legal assistant to the General Counsel of the Ohio State Medical Association. Currently, Eric devotes much of his practice Social Security disability, civil litigation and representing health care providers. Eric is a recipient of the Capital University Law School G.O.L.D. award. The G.O.L.D Award is given annually to a Capital University Law School JD “Graduate of the Last Decade” who has made significant achievements as an attorney and has made notable contributions to the legal profession and/or the Law School. Eric has proudly to served as a Board Member of the OhioHealth Foundation and as a member of the Community Board of COSI. Eric earned his bachelor degree from Ohio University (B.S., 1995) and continued his higher education by receiving both his Master of Business Administration and his law degree from Capital University.

Andrea entered the legal profession knowing that whatever path she chose, helping people would be the focus of her career. Personal experience gave her insight into how disruptive and life-changing an accident can be. Andrea knew her career would involve advocating for injured people who want to reclaim their lives. As a native of the area, Andrea grew up in West Toledo and graduated from Roy. C. Start High School. After high school, Andrea attended the University of Toledo and, in 2010, graduated magna cum laude, earning her Bachelor of Science in Paralegal studies. Once Andrea graduated, she began working as a paralegal for local attorneys, which enhanced her desire to attend law school. After a few years working as a paralegal, Andrea returned to the University of Toledo to pursue her Juris Doctorate Degree. During law school, Andrea attended night classes while raising her children and working as a paralegal during the day. Today she applies the same hard work and passion that she learned during those challenging times. During law school, Andrea participated in the Student Bar Association which included co-chairing the Pro Bono Committee where she put on social and community service events. During the 2014-2015 school year Andrea held numerous fundraising activities to raise money for Lucas County CASA. She also participated in the Intellectual Property Moot Court team, which competed in the Saul Lefkowitz Moot Court Competition in Chicago, Illinois. The competition is known to introduce law students to important issues arising in U.S. trademark and unfair competition law. Students developed brief writing and oral advocacy skills in a mock courtroom experience. In 2016 she earned her Juris Doctorate Degree, graduating with Magna Cum Laude distinction. Due to graduating in the top ten percent of her class, she earned membership in The University of Toledo College of Law Chapter of The Order of the Coif. After law school, Andrea received her license to practice law in Ohio and began working at a Mass Tort firm that handled multidistrict litigation. In 2019, Andrea joined Charles Boyk Law and handles personal injury cases, approaching each with empathy, passion, and the desire to turn her client’s circumstances around and improve their situation. In 2021 Andrea expanded her practice outside of Ohio, and received her license to practice law in Michigan. During her time at Boyk Law, she was awarded Super Lawyer for the years 2022 and 2023. Andrea enjoys anything new, whether it involves visiting a different city, a new show, or trying a new restaurant with her family. Making time for physical activity, she can be found working out on her Peloton and rollerblading. Andrea spends her time supporting her three children at their sporting events which include football, wrestling, lacrosse, and track. When college football starts, her family enjoys cheering for Notre Dame football. Go Irish!

Thomas Schaffer first worked at age twelve for his father’s farm and grain elevator. Coming from a large family, he saw how working families can struggle to make ends meet early on. Tom has over thirty years of experience representing injured and disabled people as an attorney in Northwest Ohio. After 27 years in a large, local law firm, he boldly decided to form Schaffer & Associates with his colleagues, attorney Laura Wilson and attorney Marilyn Levine. The mission of Schaffer & Associates is to provide dedicated and aggressive representation to people who are injured and disabled. Tom has represented injured workers in thousands of hearings before the Industrial Commission of Ohio. He is also regularly involved in litigation, having successfully taken many cases to jury trial in Lucas and neighboring counties. Additionally, Tom formerly served as a Board member and Board President of the Zepf Community Mental Health Center, a Board member and Board President of the Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, a Board member and Board President of Legal Aid of Western Ohio, and as a chair for the Justice for Clients Committee. He enjoys participating in TBA’s workers’ compensation section meetings as well as presenting at multiple seminars. With the Zepf Center, he assisted in efforts to provide behavioral health and vocational services to youth and adults with severe and persistent mental illness in Lucas County.
