About Peggy
Peggy is a founding partner of Pitt, McGehee, Palmer, Rivers, and Golden. She received her law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1979 and has practiced in the area of employment law for over fifteen years. In addition to employment law, Peggy is also actively engaged in the area of civil rights. She has participated in several class actions against Michigan jails and prisons on behalf of prisoners. Her impassioned advocacy has led to positive changes within Michigan's correctional systems.
Peggy received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and holds a Masters of Education from Oakland University. Prior to entering law, she was a teacher in the Detroit and Pontiac, Michigan school systems. She also worked with the Department of Health, Education and Welfare, where she helped to develop an adult literacy program that remains in use throughout the country.
