In a collection case against a lawyer-defendant, liens were placed on several defendant properties. After persistence and patience and a motion for an order to collect court-assessed penalties, the defendant agreed to resolve the and pay the originally owed debt.

There are many things that a client may wish to look for in a lawyer. Among them are a lawyer's ability to listen actively, understand the client's true objectives, and provide options to the client wherever possible and appropriate.
How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?
Local knowledge can be a useful asset. However, I use, obtain or harness whatever knowledge is appropriate to increase my clients' likelihood of success

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
For animal-related concerns and cases, I am the only veterinarian-attorney I know of in my community. For criminal matters, I am the former director of a law enforcement department, which is uncommon among other attorneys in the community.
