About Raymond

After starting my career as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney I decided to join the private firm of Lampin, Kell, Fagras, Linson, Buehler and Chandler. With this firm I have put my skills to work helping individuals and families tackle numerous legal matters. I handle Bankruptcy, Consumer Protection, Debt Defense, Criminal Defense, and Traffic Matters. In our firm we always work as a team to help every client to achieve the best results. My partners are able to handle Family Law and Divorce, Personal Injury and Accident cases, Products liability cases and most all other general legal matters.

Fees are dependent on the type of case. Some cases are handled on a flat fee basis while others are based on hourly charges. We always try to work with our clients to help find a way to make the fee work.

Questions & Answers

Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.

Most success in the past few years has come from the many successful bankruptcies that have been filed and received a discharge which have helped my clients to eliminate numerous debts. Especially the clients that were able to keep their home, and the equity in their home, through careful planning and filing.

How did you build a successful practice?

I try to build my practice by having my clients satisfied with my service at the end of a case. If my clients are happy with my work, my responsiveness, my professionalism, etc. then I hope they will let others know about me when they are looking for an attorney.

What should clients look for in a lawyer?

I would always look for a lawyer that is willing to talk and explain things. The legal process is complex and scary to people that do not deal with it everyday. I try to always take the time to explain to my clients what is going on, why it is happening, what the thoughts behind my actions are etc. I would hate for a client to just drop off the papers and hope things will be done right without feeling they know what is happening.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is vital. Knowing your local trustees, judges, opposing counsel is very important to taking the right steps in any case.

What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?

Most importantly I can tell someone if I think I can help them in some way. I also try to explain how the case will proceed to try to alleviate the fears and stress that many people have during that first communication with an attorney.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

Mainly, what is the problem you are facing and what is the relief you are looking for. Such as, are you facing debts and want to get out from under them? Are you being charged with a crime and need a proper defense attorney? Have you been injured and need to recover your damage?

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

My experience as an assistant prosecuting attorney helps me to see both sides of criminal matters. My desire to teach helps me to emphasize explaining the situation to my clients. The support I have from my firm allows me to take on any size case.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

Being able to shake a client's hand, look them in the eye, and say ""congratulations, you are debt free"" or that they are not going to spend time in prison on a charge or that their medical bills will be paid and they no longer need to worry about the financial damage from an accident.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I am a computer geek at heart, which is why I like to implement technology where I can in my practice. Other than that, most free time is spent with my wife and newborn adjusting to being a new parent.

Are you involved in your community?

I am very involved in local and statewide politics to try to help shape the laws that affect my clients and everyone else. I also try to find time to volunteer for a local organization helping mentor young boys in underdeveloped areas.
