Rebecca Rhoda Fisher has practiced in state and federal courts in Minnesota since she was admitted to practice in 1999. She was admitted to practice in the state of Wisconsin in 2005. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of criminal defense, family law, and appeals. In November of 2006 she was Federally certified as an Intoxilyzer Operator.

As an effective appellate attorney, she successfully litigated State v. Hugger in 2002 where the Minnesota Court of Appeals upheld the district court finding that a stop was invalid where the vehicle was weaving in its own lane. She also successfully argued State v. Bergerson in 2003 where the Minnesota Court of Appeals overturned a drug conviction based on the invalid stop of a vehicle after the defendant legally purchased items known to be used to manufacture methamphetamine at a store.

As an effective trial attorney, she obtained not guilty verdicts on three counts of first-degree controlled substance charges in Hennepin County in 2005 where her client purchased legal items that could be used to manufacture methamphetamine. In addition, she obtained not guilty verdicts on one count of obstructing legal process with force, one count of obstructing legal process and one count of disorderly conduct in Ramsey County in 2005 where her client was arrested and police used a taser on him.

Ms. Fisher is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association. She is the past Chair of the New Lawyers Section and is currently the Chair of the Criminal Section. She is also an active member of the Minnesota Society of Criminal Justice, which is a prestigious group of 50 of the top criminal defense attorneys in Minnesota.
