She has participated in both litigation and in house counsel roles and even in court chambers drafting court opinions for an Appellate Judge. Sonia balances her professional pursuits with a love for meditation, yoga, traveling, and kickboxing. She is a devoted mother to 2 children and 3 cats and values empowering women and children. Sonia’s adventurous spirit led her to live in France and The Netherlands for almost a year, run with bulls in Pamplona, homebirth her youngest child, and homeschool her children for 4 years. Andres Alfonso, a Bogota, Colombia native who was raised in Miami, is a dedicated first-party property insurance attorney in our Miami office. Andres’s educational journey began at Doral Academy Preparatory, where he excelled in both academics and sports, specifically five years of Varsity soccer. Subsequently, he pursued higher education at Spring Hill College, where he showcased his soccer prowess as a Division II athlete for all four years. Throughout his undergraduate years, Andres actively engaged in community service initiatives, such as tutoring underprivileged students and teaching English to immigrants, reflecting his deep commitment to social impact. He also played a vital role in a program called “Belong,” where he assisted Central Immigrants in navigating the challenging landscape of being undocumented immigrants in Alabama. Furthermore, Andres displayed exceptional leadership as the Fundraising Chair for the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity, successfully raising over $10,000.00 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
