Please describe a case in the last year or two where you made a big difference.
I obtained a $150,000.00 jury verdict in a bad faith claim against a well known insurance carrier when the actual damages were only $10,000.00. It was my understanding that this verdict sent a message to the insurance carrier who has not changed their practice in which they conduct business.
How did you build a successful practice?
My practice was built on hard work. I normally get into the office by 5:30 a.m. and remain all day; sometimes until 8:00 p.m. Many of my clients are repeat clients or referrals from past clients.
What should clients look for in a lawyer?
Clients should look for a lawyer that is willing to go all the way to trial if necessary; not just settle to avoid the time and effort of trial.
What information can you provide in a free phone consultation?
In my phone consultations with potential clients, I listen to all of the facts of their case and provide them with viable claims that can be made before even considering a face-to-face meeting. This way, the clients time is not wasted coming to the office if the facts of their case do not support a claim. I normally spend anywhere between 15 to 20 minutes per call.
What information do you need in a free phone consultation?
I like for the potential client to provide me with all of the pertinent facts of the case so that I can provide them with the best legal advice regarding their potential claim.
What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?
I stand out from other consumer attorneys in my community due to my extensive practical experience in the automotive industry. A large part of my practice entails making claims against auto dealers. I spend a number of years in the auto industry while going through college so I understand first hand how auto dealers operate as well as auto repair facilities.
What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?
The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping the little guy......the consumer against those who believe they are too big to be taken on.
What are your other interests in addition to law?
Interests other than the law include my family, friends, military career, and fishing.
Are you involved in your community?
I am involve in my community and have been serving my country as a reservist for the last 18 years.
