Robert R. Leinwand is the co-chairman of the Firm's Bankruptcy Department and has been a partner since 1985. He concentrates on Chapter 11 reorganizations representing debtors, trustees, committees, landlords, funders, secured creditors and other interested parties. Mr. Leinwand is involved in all forms of formal and informal liquidation, restructuring and corporate reorganization. He has litigated complex cases and non-core proceedings in the Bankruptcy Court as well as other Federal Courts throughout the nation. Mr. Leinwand is an ""AV"" rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available to attorneys.

Mr. Leinwand received his J.D. Degree from Columbia University in 1973 and his B.A. with high honors from the University of Virginia in 1969 where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He served as a Confidential Law Assistant to the New York State Supreme Court, Appellate Division, Fourth Judicial Department, and as Legal Secretary to the Honorable Richard J. Cardamone of that Court.

Mr. Leinwand is admitted to practice in the State of New York, the United States District Court for the Southern, Eastern, Northern and Western Districts of New York and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute.
