About Robert

After graduating from the Washburn School of Law I worked as an Assistant Riley County Attorney. I was responsible for prosecuting traffic, misdemeanor, and drug/violent felony cases. After deciding that I wanted to open my own law practice I left the Riley County Attorney's Office and opened my firm in 2008. My practice handles family law cases including divorce, child support, parenting time modification and enforcement, adoption, and post-motion and appeals to the Kansas Court of Appeals. I also provide representation for traffic and criminal charges. I have served as the Deputy Public Defender for the North Central Public Defender Office and have represented clients charged with all levels of felonies. Regardless of your needs, you can be sure that you will receive compassionate, aggressive, and knowledgeable, legal representation.

The only way that the client can stay informed about their case is if the attorney communicates with them on a regular basis. The client should also be comfortable with the attorney and feel that they can trust the attorney to give them the attention they need.

How important is local knowledge to the success of your cases?

Local knowledge is critical when helping a client negotiate through the legal environment. The client can be confident that I am very familiar with the courts and the rules that govern the process.

I can provide an overview of my services and fees during a phone consultation.

What information do you need in a free phone consultation?

It is helpful if the client can tell me what the issues are that they are concerned about. They should be prepared to provide detailed background information. This will help me to determine what legal services are need and if I can be of help.

What differentiates you from other lawyers in your community?

My clients come first. The most important thing an attorney can do is give sound legal advice and make themselves available to the client. I strive to return phone calls the same day when possible.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your job?

The most rewarding aspect of my job is helping the client move from being overwhelmed by their circumstances to be empowered to retake control of their lives. It is personally gratifying to me to be able to guide a client through a daunting legal quagmire and come out the other end with optimism and hope.

What are your other interests in addition to law?

I have always been interested in woodworking and photography. My hobbies give me a good work/life balance.

Are you involved in your community?
