About Romy

Romy B. Jurado is a Florida licensed attorney, originally from Peru, who focuses her practice in business law, real estate and immigration. Romy earned her Juris Doctor degree from the Florida International University College of Law. During her law school career, she participated as a student‐attorney with the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic and the Bankruptcy Clinic, where she represented clients in deportation proceedings and chapter 7 filings.

Romy has also served as a federal judicial intern to the Honorable William M. Hoeveler in the U.S. District Court in Miami. She was honored as a Stearns Weaver Miller Fellowship recipient and earned a scholarship from the Florida Association for Women Lawyers. Upon graduation she worked for the law firm of de La O, Marko, Magolnick and Leyton in their transactional department. Thereafter, she worked in real estate litigation for the law firm of McCalla Raymer.

Romy is a member of the Florida Bar, speaks Spanish fluently and is also a licensed Florida Realtor. Romy strongly believes in giving back to our community and served as an adjunct professor in the Law Center’s Paralegal Studies Program at Miami Dade College.
