About Roy

Roy's practice areas include personal injury, entertainment law, contracts, transactional work, business organizations, intellectual property litigation, and other complex litigation matters. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University and his Juris Doctorate degree from Louisiana State University, Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1986. Roy served five terms as a member of the Board of Governors of the Louisiana Association of Justice and served two terms on the Professionalism Committee for the Louisiana State Bar Association. He has also chaired and served on numerous Baton Rouge Bar Association Committees, chaired or co-chaired the High School Mock Trial competitions for six years and volunteered for many other educational programs for youth. Roy was a recipient of the Baton Rouge Bar Association Presidents Award in 1997 for his outstanding service to the community. He is a frequent lecturer on entertainment issues and was a board member and past president for two terms of Assumption Life Insurance Company. Roy has been admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court since June, 1993, and his trial practice includes matters before state and federal courts across the nation. Roy's trial work has earned him a place in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum.
