About Russell
Russell A. Green is a graduate of the University of Connecticut cum laude, class of 1989. He earned his law degree in 1994 from the University of Connecticut School of Law. Mr. Green’s diverse practice includes all aspects of commercial litigation, professional malpractice, employment law, and land use. Mr. Green litigates personal injury actions, contract disputes, employment issues, and land use appeals. He has obtained favorable jury verdicts in several negligence actions, and has also obtained successful results for his clients in a variety of business and employment disputes. Mr. Green regularly appears in federal and state courts, as well as before state and municipal agencies. Mr. Green also counsels clients on a variety of land use issues, appearing before land use agencies throughout the state where he has achieved positive results for his clients.
Mr. Green represents clients in a wide variety of commercial disputes. He represents business executives and employers in litigation as well as negotiations involving non-competition agreements, whistle blower claims, and severance issues, including negotiation of separation agreements. He regularly counsels clients on employment policies and compliance issues in the workplace.
Mr. Green is admitted to the bars of Connecticut and New York, and to the Federal District Court for the District of Connecticut. Mr. Green is active in a number of municipal and charitable organizations, is a member of the Fairfield Planning and Zoning Commission (since 2003), is a justice of the peace, and a hearing officer for the Town of Fairfield. He is on the Board of Directors for Fairfield Counseling Services, an organization which provides a wide range of mental health services to the community. Mr. Green is an active member of the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association (including the Membership Committee), the Connecticut Bar Association and local bar associations (Bridgeport and Milford).
